High performance nanofibers
The use of nanofibers in the world is growing rapidly. This is a result of some of the unique properties that nanofibers posess. Due to their extremely small diameter nanofibers have a massive surface area to mass ratio. Many chemical and physical processes occur only on the surface of objects and not in the bulk material. Therefore nanofibers can be immensely useful in functions where the availability of surface area is important, such as energy storage, filtration, drug delivery etc. Secondly, nanofibrous materials are highly porous which allows for high breathability filters and efficient tissue engineering scaffolds. Lastly, nanofibrous materials have very low densities which makes them extremely light.
The team at Gelatex Technologies has developed a novel high capacity solution based nanofiber manufacturing method. The technology allows continuous production and does not require using high-voltages. We are capable of producing nanofibrous materials with different surface densities and fibre diameters from various polymers for use in filtration, energy storage, textiles etc. Gelatex provides contract manufacturing services using this technology and is looking for partners who could benefit from the increased production capacity of our new method.

Our speed is now just with a prototype up to 1.5 kg/h vs 360 g/h with electrospinning industrial unit.
Material comes in rolls
Material is produced in continuous line and material width is customizable.
The production method is nozzle-based, with production rates up to 21 grams per nozzle per hour. With the current manufacturing prototype line up to 1.5 kg of polymer can be spun per hour.
We are interested in realizing the method's full potential and, thus, our aim is to expand the range of materials which can be produced employing this new method. Therefore, we are looking forward to working with partners in testing their materials on our machinery and developing the optimal production processes in order to provide the most efficient contract manufacturing services.
