We are looking for a CFO

to join the Gelatex management team to enable the growth of a science and innovation-oriented startup.

You will contribute to making a revolution in wound care, cultured meat or drug and cosmetics development by unlocking the potential of nanofibers.

Who are we?

Gelatex Technologies is a unique materials technology startup based in Tallinn, operating in the field of nanofibers.

Our nanofibers can be used in various applications such as wound care, pharmaceutical and cosmetics development, and cultured meat. Our customers are some of the largest medical technology and pharma corporations and universities.

The Gelatex science and innovation-oriented team works towards making people's lives healthier and more sustainable worldwide.

At Gelatex, you will:

Develop and implement financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
Contribute to strategic planning, decision-making, and business and pricing model developments.
Conduct market analysis to identify growth opportunities and risks.
Identify and apply for grants.
Manage investor relations and prepare for funding rounds.
Implement cost control measures and optimize resource allocation.
Oversee accounting, reporting, and internal controls to ensure compliance.
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Prepare financial reports for the board, shareholders and government.

We expect you to have:

Proven experience as a CFO or in a similar financial leadership role, preferably in a startup or growing company.
Strong expertise in financial planning, fundraising, and cost management.
Ability to develop business strategies and conduct market analysis.
Knowledge of operational oversight, supply chain, and risk management.
Excellent investor relations skills and preferably experience with grant applications.
Preferably experience in manufacturing or a company developing physical products.
Advanced degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.
Excellent English language skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on attitude.
Interest in biotechnology, materials, and life sciences.
